InKing launched on December 16, 2024 as a free-to-play rogue-lite action game. The developer shipped several updates in the weeks following launch: version 1.1.0 on December 18, 2024 added a permanent buff shop system, new traits, and language support; version 1.2.0 on January 11, 2025 added an entirely new Final Boss Stage. Simplified Chinese support was added on March 13, 2025, and a balance patch followed on March 24, 2025. The January 11, 2025 update post (the most recent major content release) included a roadmap mentioning "Hard Mode" and "Boss Rush Mode" as upcoming additions. However, the last developer communication of any kind was on March 24, 2025 — nearly 18 months before today's date of September 17, 2026. The roadmap items from January 2025 (Hard Mode and Boss Rush Mode) have never been announced as shipped, but the developer has also gone completely silent since March 2025 with no follow-up posts, patches, or announcements of any kind. Given 18 months of complete silence following a brief post-launch burst of activity, and the absence of any new content posts, the roadmap items from early 2025 may have been aspirational rather than committed.
