Evaluation
Insanity's Blade launched on December 4, 2014 and received active post-launch support through early 2016, including feature additions such as Arcade Mode (April 2015), new difficulty settings, and a major gameplay overhaul in patch V1.20 (January 9, 2016). On November 26, 2015, the developer explicitly stated that V1.18 "should be one of the last patches to Insanity's Blade unless any other game-breaking bugs might crop up," and that they were moving their focus to their next title, Battle Princess Madelyn. The V1.20 patch on January 9, 2016 appears to have been the final major update — the last substantive communication about the game itself. Subsequent news posts on the game's Steam page (2018, 2023) were announcements about entirely separate titles from the same studio, not updates to Insanity's Blade. The store description describes a self-contained game with no mention of future content, DLC, or ongoing updates. The developer has moved on to multiple other projects since then. The game launched as a complete product and has been finished since early 2016.
