Inside the Labs launched into Early Access on October 6, 2023 and graduated to its full 1.0 release on April 3, 2024, adding a new map, four new characters, two new challenges, and full controller support. Throughout Early Access, the developer (Chreseeba Games) maintained an active update schedule, shipping feature-rich patches roughly every 2–6 weeks from November 2023 through the 1.0 launch.
Importantly, the developer published a roadmap on February 9, 2024 that explicitly stated: "Achieving a full release does not mark the conclusion of our content updates for the game. Rather, it indicates that we have established a strong foundation for the game. We intend to continue adding new maps, mutations, characters, and objectives even after transitioning out of early access." This is a clear promise of post-launch content.
However, the last communication from the developer was a minor bug fix post on May 14, 2024 — over two years ago as of June 2026. No new maps, mutations, characters, or objectives have been announced or released, and the studio has not provided any update on why development has stalled or whether they intend to honor the roadmap commitment. The combination of an explicit post-launch content promise and a prolonged, unexplained silence raises genuine uncertainty about whether those plans are still being pursued.
