INSOMNIA: The Ark launched on September 27, 2018 and received a series of post-launch patches over roughly two years. The developer shipped several notable updates: v1.5 (June 19, 2019) brought an engine upgrade to Unreal Engine 4.21 with major performance and lighting improvements; v1.6 (November 15, 2019) addressed a large number of bugs; and v1.7 (May 12, 2020) added new in-game content including random encounters, mini-bosses, unique weapons and armor, plus further bug fixes. A September 10, 2020 post mentioned work on a future patch was continuing, but no further updates were released after that point. The last confirmed content release was v1.7 on May 12, 2020, and the last developer communication was September 10, 2020. No new content has been announced or shipped since then, and both DLC items listed (the Original Soundtrack and Deluxe Edition) were released at or shortly after launch. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The developer has not posted any updates since September 10, 2020 — nearly six years of silence as of today (June 27, 2026).
