INVERSUS Deluxe

INVERSUS Deluxe launched on August 16, 2016 and received a steady stream of feature updates through late 2017. The game's most significant post-launch content drop was the INVERSUS Deluxe expansion on September 28, 2017, which added 12 new versus maps, 4 new arcade maps, AI bots, ranked online play, new power-ups, and visual upgrades — all delivered as a free update to existing players. This effectively became the definitive version of the game, and no further major content has been released since. Since 2017, the developer (Hypersect) has been focused on maintenance rather than new content. More recently, on August 7, 2025, Hypersect updated the game engine to the same technology powering their upcoming new title, Never's End — explicitly framing the update as a compatibility and maintenance measure, not a content initiative. Bug-fix patches in October 2025 (the most recent communications as of today's date of June 27, 2026) addressed minor audio issues. On June 3, 2025, Hypersect announced Never's End, a new game they have been developing for seven years, confirming the studio's focus has shifted entirely to that project. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap commitments, and no developer statements promising future content for INVERSUS Deluxe. The recent engine update and bug fixes show the developer is keeping the game functional, but the content development concluded with the Deluxe update in September 2017.
