Iron Mandate

The developer, Emerick Gibson, published a detailed post mortem on April 4, 2025 explaining that Iron Mandate will never be fully finished. In the post, the developer explicitly stated: "For all these reasons and some further personal ones, this game will never be fully finished." The game was moved out of Early Access on April 8, 2025 and made free-to-play as a final gesture to the community. The developer acknowledged fundamental, unfixable problems with the game's core concept — covering controls, visuals, and lack of content variety — and has since moved on to a new project, "The People of Sea, Sun & Salt." The developer also noted the game had not received updates in 23 months prior to this post. The game is fully functional and completable in its current state. No further content or updates are planned.
