Ile d'Or launched into Early Access on March 29, 2025 and remains explicitly in that phase. The developer (あとらそふと) has been consistently active throughout the game's lifecycle, with 46 news posts covering bug fixes, feature patches, and major additions. The biggest gameplay addition came on December 31, 2025, when Ver1.3000 introduced a full new "Survival Mode" — a standalone game mode with a prequel story, fleet-building mechanics, and wave-based combat. On April 23, 2026, the developer released a paid digital artbook DLC (イル・ドー 航海士資料集) featuring profiles and backstories for all 40 crew characters. In the DLC release post (April 23, 2026), the developer explicitly acknowledged that while the original Early Access period was planned to be about six months, more than a year has passed since launch, and they are asking for continued patience before the full 1.0 release. Developer communication has continued actively through 2026: feature patches landed on May 8 and May 14, a bug fix and balance patch on June 25, and another bug fix on July 15. Most recently, on August 8, 2026, the developer announced full localization work underway for English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean — covering all dialogue, story text, and quests — targeting release within 2026. This is a substantial ongoing commitment that confirms the game is far from winding down. No 1.0 release date has been announced. The developer has made clear that more work remains before the full release.
