Evaluation

Nantucket launched on January 18, 2018 and received a steady stream of updates and content through its post-launch life. The developer shipped two paid DLCs: Songs of the Braves (November 12, 2018), a music pack adding 10 new sea shanties, and Masters of the Seven Seas (September 16, 2019), a Challenge Mode expansion with a new world map, historical captains, and additional events. A hotfix was released on September 27, 2019 to address issues with Masters of the Seven Seas — this is the last recorded developer communication. Both DLCs are fully released and there are no unreleased DLC entries in the store listing. The developer's May 2019 announcement mentioned "planning more content for the months to come," but that statement predates the release of Masters of the Seven Seas, which almost certainly fulfilled that promise. No subsequent posts have announced any further content, roadmaps, or ongoing development plans after September 2019. With both DLCs shipped, no outstanding commitments, and no developer communications since September 27, 2019, the game appears to have reached completion with the final hotfix following its last expansion.
