ISOLAND3: Dust of the Universe launched on March 16, 2020 as a complete, self-contained puzzle adventure game. The store description presents it as a finished narrative experience with a defined beginning and end — it describes the story, setting, features (including a "2nd run mode" and collectables), and asks "what are you going to do this time?" with no mention of post-launch content or updates. The game received a minor bug fix on October 12, 2021, and the only other news post (December 28, 2024) is an announcement for an entirely separate Cotton Game title called Reviver — not new content for ISOLAND3. There are no DLC listings, no roadmap, and no developer statements suggesting additional content was ever planned for this game after launch. Cotton Game appears to have shipped it as a complete product and has since moved on to developing new titles.

Lost on the island, you must search for clues by clicking items in the scene. As you complete a series of puzzles, you will learn more and more about the mysterious happenings on the island, bringing to light a long-forgotten history.
