It's A Wipe!

It's A Wipe! launched on Steam on December 11, 2014 as a finished single-player game and received several meaningful updates through its first few years — including a one-year anniversary patch in December 2015 that added player-created raid content, quality-of-life improvements in early 2016, and a third-anniversary patch in December 2017. Throughout this period, the developer (Harry at Parody Games) was also building a spiritual successor called Heroes of Kingspoint, and gradually shifted focus away from It's A Wipe! entirely. By November 2017, the developer stated explicitly that there were "no real updates to It's A Wipe! in a while" and that the game was "working fine." In June 2018, he confirmed that "a direct sequel is still pending this other game getting done" — meaning any future It's A Wipe! follow-up was contingent on completing a separate project first. The last meaningful update to the game itself was a Windows 10 compatibility patch in September 2019, which fixed a graphics issue caused by a Windows update. The developer's most recent communication, a Happy New Year post on January 2, 2020, confirmed he was pivoting his efforts toward completing a new game and not returning to It's A Wipe!. He described the 2019 patch as a workaround for a platform-level issue, not a sign of ongoing content development. There have been no developer communications of any kind since January 2, 2020 — over six years ago. No future content, DLC, or updates have been announced. The store description does not reference any planned additions. The game shipped as a complete product and has been in a maintenance-complete state since at least late 2019.
