Jigsaw Puzzle Dreams launched on December 1, 2021 as a free-to-play jigsaw puzzle game and has been receiving consistent, substantive updates ever since. Major content milestones include the addition of Multiplayer and Steam Workshop on August 29, 2022, the Massive Update 1.3 on September 13, 2023, the Stickers, Challenges, and More! DLC on January 26, 2024, and the Gradient Puzzle Maker feature on August 30, 2025. Most recently, on August 12, 2026, the developer shipped Major Update 1.5, introducing a suite of new puzzle options, a puzzle preview system, multiplayer timer sync, and a save backup system — followed by a hotfix on August 15, 2026. The developer's August 30, 2025 post explicitly named a planned future feature — the ability to have multiple puzzles loaded in a room at the same time — as the "next big update planned," indicating the development roadmap extends beyond the 1.5 release. That same post also mentioned the studio is in early stages of developing a new game, confirming the team is actively working. All six DLC packs are released, and the developer has made no announcement of concluding updates or declaring the game feature-complete.
