Just Cause 2: Multiplayer Mod

Just Cause 2: Multiplayer Mod launched on Steam on December 16, 2013 as a community-driven project to add multiplayer functionality to Just Cause 2. The developers released a series of versioned updates over the years: 0.1.4 (March 12, 2014), 0.1.4b (August 30, 2014), a 0.2 public beta (September 2015), the full 0.2 release (November 11, 2015), followed by minor patches 0.2.1 through 0.2.3 in late 2015 and 2016. The most recent developer communication is the 0.3 release on May 28, 2017, which delivered both bug fixes and new scripting features. Since that date — now more than nine years ago as of June 2026 — there have been no further posts, announcements, or updates of any kind from the development team. There are no unreleased DLC items, no roadmap, and no outstanding commitments mentioned in any developer communication. The project appears to have concluded with the 0.3 release, which is consistent with the nature of the mod: it delivered a functional multiplayer framework and the update cadence steadily slowed from roughly one major release per year down to a single maintenance patch before going fully silent. The game remains purchasable and playable.
