Just Deserts

Just Deserts launched on July 25, 2016 and received its costume and soundtrack DLC within the first month, followed by a story expansion — the Valerya Chapter — on August 24, 2020. That DLC represents the last substantive content addition to the game. In February 2025, the developer posted a note stating they "originally had no plans to update Just Deserts further," but took the opportunity to add a minor quality-of-life improvement (a fast-forward button for combat) before moving on to their next projects. This is a clear signal that planned content development has concluded. On April 1, 2026, the developer announced console ports of the game to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox. While this post also mentions "at least one more announcement related to Just Deserts," this appears to refer to a business or platform announcement rather than new game content, given the developer's earlier February 2025 statement that they had no further update plans. All five DLC items are released, and no unreleased content is listed on the store. The game is complete. Someone who wants the full experience can purchase it now along with all available DLC.
