Sunrider: Liberation Day - Captain's Edition

Sunrider: Liberation Day launched on March 4, 2016. Shortly after launch, the developer announced and delivered a major free story expansion called [RE]turn, which shipped on May 24, 2016 as part of the V3.00 "Captain's Edition" update. This expansion was described as roughly three times the length of the main game's story and represented the culmination of post-launch content for Liberation Day itself. The only DLC listed on the store — a theme song pack — was released on launch day and is the sole paid add-on. No unreleased DLC exists for this title. In December 2022, Love in Space announced Sunrider 4: The Captain's Return as a separate sequel game on its own Steam store page. This confirms the studio is still active and that the Sunrider series continues, but it also makes clear that future story content will be delivered as a new game rather than additional updates to Liberation Day. There have been no announcements of new content for Liberation Day itself since the [RE]turn expansion shipped in May 2016. With the [RE]turn expansion delivered, all DLC released, and any further story continuation confirmed to be a separate sequel title, Liberation Day's content is complete.
