Evaluation

On January 19, 2026, PixelFade Studio announced they are retiring and closing the studio. As part of winding down, they stated that all their games would be removed from sale starting the following month. The game is no longer purchasable on Steam, consistent with that announcement. Kaori After Story launched on December 3, 2018 as a self-contained visual novel sequel — it shipped as a complete, finished story with no post-launch content cycle and no announced future content beyond what was included at launch. The studio is stepping away after completing their body of work on their own terms. Players who already own the game retain library access.
