Evaluation

Key Of Impasse is a solo-developed VR room escape game that launched on September 5, 2018. The developer shipped a handful of small updates and bug fixes between December 2018 and August 2019, with the last recorded developer communication on August 17, 2019. There have been no posts of any kind since that date. In December 2018, the developer wrote candidly about the game's poor sales and expressed a hope to eventually build out a series of four themed room escape experiences, with a second installment in an "Ancient Chinese Style" reportedly started. However, they also acknowledged that sales were so low they hadn't recouped development costs, and described progress on the follow-up as "very slow." This was a personal aspiration expressed under difficult circumstances — not a firm commitment or announcement of planned content for the existing game. No additional DLC, expansions, or sequel content ever materialized. The last update was a minor technical patch on August 17, 2019, and no developer communication has occurred since. Given that over six years have passed since the last post, the solo developer's own acknowledgment of financial difficulty, and the absence of any announced or listed upcoming content, the game is best understood as a finished, self-contained product. The store description and updates describe a complete experience as shipped.
Evidence
Last recorded developer communication: a small technical patch upgrading the engine build version and optimizing collision physics. No future content mentioned.

About this game

Key Of Impasse is an indie game, and all projects are done by one person.
Certainly,my ability is limited, I hope you guys can support me, and you can leave valuable suggestions in the discussion area.

The operation of the game is the traditional VR operation mode, the side button means grab the item, the trigger button to use the object, the touch pad moves for a short distance; The game
also can adjust the room size and support the standing mode.

Key Of Impasse is not a game with a long game duration. The original purpose of making this game is to provide offline experience with VR. Therefore, the decryption time of the game has a limit of 30 minutes. However, personally, a 30-minute experience is not enough to complete all decryption, maybe you need a second, third or more ; The game also provides a random password function, which is the player's password and even the placement of items in the secret room after the player re-enters the game. It will be different from the previous game.

The mission key uses a more realistic environment, including art processing at each location, physical property settings, etc., almost every object you see can be crawled and interacted, and the player can even open the sofa very laboriously and pushed it to the shelf.
