Evaluation
Eye in the Sky launched into Early Access on April 28, 2017 and graduated to its 1.0 release on December 5, 2017. The developer's own September 9, 2017 communication is the key statement to understand this game's content scope: the team disclosed that VR local co-op is a niche market that proved difficult to sustain commercially, that most team members had moved on to other jobs, and that going forward the game would effectively become a one-person hobby project. They explicitly stated there would be no DLC, that additional Inner City levels and story content "may or may not" be added over time, and reduced the price to reflect the scaled-back final product.
After the 1.0 release shipped with the Inner City chapter on December 5, 2017, the developer returned on February 14, 2018 with a bonus level update ("Amazing"), adding a new optional level. The final recorded update was December 4, 2019, when Steam Remote Play Together support was added — a feature patch enabling online play for what had previously required local co-op. No major content has shipped since then, and there have been no developer communications of any kind since December 4, 2019. Given the developer's own September 2017 statement scaling back ambitions and explicitly ruling out DLC, and the roughly six-and-a-half year silence since the last update, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product.
Evidence
v1.0 released, leaving Early Access. Added Oculus Rift support, a new tutorial level, and the Inner City_1 level as the story finale. Developer thanked players and said they would continue to monitor the forum.

About this game
This game requires a VR Headset and a second human (both not included). Only features local co-op.
Eye in the Sky is a large asymmetrical local co-op escape room for VR.
Take up this challenge of perspectives and communication with a friend (or enemy, we won't judge). Traverse a post-apocalyptic robot world from two different view points and help each other solve the puzzles that lay ahead.
The VR Player takes on the form of the "Eye". Interacting with objects in the world from a birds eye view and guiding the "Light" to help find pieces to the puzzles they have to solve.
The PC Player will be the "Light". A small robot, seemingly insignificant but essential for the "Eye". Venturing into the nooks and crannies of the world where the "Eye" can't reach, the "Light" can gather information, guide the "Eye" to hidden areas and collect vital parts of each and every puzzle.
Key features
- Taking full use of VR roomscale feature - All levels are built to fit
in a 2m x 2m area (If you can't reach something it's probably the PC players task to get there!)
- Two ways to experience and play the game, PC or VR!
- A large escape room experience that builds on its complexity the further you and your friends venture into it.
