KIBORG launched on April 30, 2025 and has been actively developed ever since. The developer has shipped a consistent stream of major content: an Endless Mode and new arenas in June 2025, local co-op and a major UI overhaul in September 2025, the Commando implant set with three new arenas in November 2025, the KIBORG: Descent paid expansion on April 30, 2026 (adding three new biomes, new enemies, bosses, and the conclusion of the main story), and the Showstopper implant set alongside Arena 7 on August 3, 2026. A follow-up bug fix patch was posted as recently as August 6, 2026. The previous assessment flagged Arena 7 and a "CLOWN" implant set as upcoming planned content based on the June 15, 2026 milestone post. Both of those have now shipped: Arena 7 arrived with the August 3, 2026 Showstopper update, and the Showstopper set appears to be the circus-themed implant set previously teased as "CLOWN." Those outstanding commitments have been fulfilled. The June 15, 2026 post also stated the studio has "many more ideas for the game's future," but did not name any specific upcoming deliverables. With the previously announced content now delivered and no new specific content announced, the game is best described as actively receiving substantial updates at a sustained cadence — roughly every 3–6 months — without a named next release on the horizon. The developer has not indicated development is wrapping up.
