Kings Call

Kings Call is a massively multiplayer online card/strategy RPG that launched on December 25, 2023 and has been operating continuously as a live service game ever since. The game receives regular maintenance updates — roughly every two weeks — that add new events, rotating content, seasonal activities, and new systems. On May 30, 2026, the developer issued a formal statement directly addressing community concerns about the game's future. They confirmed that Kings Call and its in-development sequel (Kings Call 2) are run by completely separate, independent teams with no shared resources, and explicitly committed to continuing sustained updates and long-term operation of the original game. They also announced a shift in development focus toward deeper gameplay systems — including new skill systems and a classic card fusion/upgrading mechanic — rather than frequent new card releases. Content additions have continued at a steady pace: a new Frenzy Arena competitive mode was previewed on May 22, 2026; the Eternal Continent dungeon launched on June 30, 2026; new servers NA9 (May 13, 2026) and EU9 (July 8, 2026) went live; and on September 4, 2026 — just two days before this assessment — the developer announced a brand-new seasonal competitive mode called "Apex Championship," currently in development and expected to use a 3-month season structure. This is the most recent developer communication and confirms ongoing development activity right up to the present date. The game shows every hallmark of a continuously operated live service: rotating limited-time events, periodic server launches, a Battle Pass system, new dungeons, and now an upcoming seasonal ranked mode. There is no indication of any wind-down.
