King's League II launched on November 7, 2019 and has received a sustained series of free content updates since then. The Evensong Update shipped on August 8, 2020, adding a full new story campaign, 8 new fighter classes, and new game modes. A January 15, 2021 patch note mentioned that the team was "busy working on a massive second expansion," which eventually materialized as the Winterhush Update on March 26–28, 2025 — a substantial release adding another brand-new story campaign (Ivo's story), 8 new fighter classes, the entirely new Crest Mode, and numerous improvements. This places two major expansions in the game's history, separated by approximately 4.5 years. Following the Winterhush Update, Kurechii continued active post-release support with a feature patch on July 3, 2025 (version 4.0.4) and a bug fix patch on July 30, 2025 (version 4.0.5). The most recent developer communication is from July 30, 2025 — just over 14 months before today's date of October 8, 2026. The gap between the two major expansions was very long (August 2020 to March 2025), making the cadence window difficult to pin down precisely. However, the developer has never announced that development is complete, and the post-Winterhush patching activity through July 2025 indicates ongoing engagement. No specific future content has been announced, but the pattern of large, free expansions delivered over an extended timeline — combined with a lack of any completion statement — means the game remains in active development.
