Knight Overloaded

Knight Overloaded launched into Early Access on June 15, 2023 and has since received four major content updates: version 0.6.5 (June 23, 2023), version 0.7.2 (July 15, 2023), version 0.8.0 (August 23, 2023), and version 0.9.0 (January 7, 2024). The developer also shipped additional feature patches and many bug fixes during this period, indicating sustained engagement. On June 6, 2024, the developer (CCM) posted a candid message explaining that personal circumstances had prevented them from fully focusing on the game, and that they were moving the game to free-to-play as a result. They stated that updates would continue, but at a slower pace going forward. That June 6, 2024 post is the last known communication from the developer. As of June 21, 2026 — more than two years later — no further updates, patch notes, announcements, or status posts have appeared. Given that the game's previous update cadence ran roughly every 2–5 months, this extended silence raises genuine questions about whether active development is continuing. The game also remains in Early Access with no clear roadmap to a full 1.0 release. The game's store description still reflects its Early Access state, and the developer's own 0.9.0 post outlined remaining goals for a full release (new monsters, UI improvements, and additional content). Whether those goals are still being pursued is unknown.
