Knight Squad

Knight Squad launched into Early Access in 2014 and reached its 1.0 release on November 16, 2015. The game received a steady stream of feature updates during its Early Access period and continued receiving patches after launch. The last substantive content update was Update #21 on May 25, 2016, which added two new unlockable knights and a new weapon. The only DLC, "Knight Squad - Extra Chivalrous," was released on the same day as the game's launch (November 16, 2015) and is the sole paid addition. Developer communications after May 2016 shifted focus entirely toward Knight Squad 2. The developer announced Knight Squad 2 in June 2020, opened a beta in December 2020, and launched it on April 14, 2021. These posts were published to the original Knight Squad's news feed to inform existing players of the sequel — there is no indication that any new content was planned for the original game at that time. The sequel's release represents the developer moving on from the original. No updates, patches, or announcements for new Knight Squad content have been posted since May 2016. The game shipped as a complete product with no outstanding commitments or unreleased DLC.
