Knightica launched on August 21, 2025 as a fully released 1.0 game. Since launch, Mad Mango Games has maintained an active update cadence, shipping the Codex Update on October 8, 2025, followed by The Trinket Trials — a major overhaul adding 80 trinkets, 9 new boss souls, and a new troop — on December 15, 2025, and a stability patch on February 16, 2026. On September 8, 2026, the developer officially announced the game's first paid DLC, "Faraway Tales," which introduces three new Commanders (the Corsair, the Crystalist, and the Emperor), multiple new Troops across rarity tiers, and three new Encounters. The DLC is now listed on the Steam store and available to wishlist, but has not yet been released. In the same announcement, the developer also revealed a new unrelated game ("Divine Draw") and explicitly confirmed they are working on both projects in parallel, stating: "Don't worry, Knightica fans, we're not gonna let you down!" This announced but unreleased DLC means additional content is definitively on the way for Knightica.
