Kofi Quest

Kofi Quest launched on Steam on January 28, 2020, initially titled "Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD." From launch through mid-2023, the developer (Loftur Studio) maintained an active update cadence — adding new systems like Tactical Mode (March 2020), a reworked Quick Travel system (July 2020), cloud saves (February 2022), and eventually announcing a Nintendo Switch port that would bring new content back to the PC version. The major milestone came on June 2, 2023, when the developer shipped a large update (version 1.0) that delivered all the content created for the Nintendo Switch version: new dungeons, new items, new enemies, a new sidequest, gamepad support, and new language options (Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese). The game was also renamed from "Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD" to simply "Kofi Quest" to reflect this content-complete state. A small bug-fix patch followed on June 10, 2023, and then one more minor bug-fix patch on March 28, 2024, addressing Steam Achievements and keyboard controls. The only DLC listed is the game's soundtrack, released February 27, 2020 — there are no unreleased DLC items. There are no announced future content plans, no roadmap, and no developer statements suggesting additional content is coming. The history of updates shows that the June 2023 "1.0" release was the conclusion of the developer's planned content additions. The March 2024 bug-fix patch shows the developer is still engaged enough to maintain the game, but it contains no new content and does not suggest ongoing development beyond maintenance. The last developer communication was on March 28, 2024.
