Evaluation

Krampus is Home launched on March 22, 2019, graduating out of Early Access at that point. Since then, Regl Studios has maintained a multi-year pattern of content and feature updates. Major content drops include the Halloween 1.2.0 update (October 24, 2020), which added new multiplayer characters and modes, and Version 2.0 (January 17, 2025), described by the developer as "the biggest update in a long time," which overhauled gameplay, cutscenes, level design, narration, and technical systems. A performance and visual patch followed on March 2, 2025, adding 2K/4K support, real-time shadows, and audio improvements. Critically, the Version 2.0 post on January 17, 2025 explicitly states that the team is "committed to continuously improving the game and adding new features across Story, Survival, and Multiplayer modes." This is a direct developer statement of ongoing development intent. No subsequent post has walked back or superseded this commitment. The most recent developer communication is dated March 2, 2025. As of today (October 8, 2026), that is approximately 19 months of silence. Looking at the historical update cadence, major content releases have arrived roughly every 2–4 years (launch in 2019, Halloween update in 2020, Version 2.0 in 2025), so a roughly 19-month gap since the last communication does not decisively exceed the developer's own established rhythm, particularly given the explicit commitment to further improvements made in January 2025. The studio remains active — they announced and demoed a new title, Shadows of the Werewolf, in October 2024, confirming the studio is operational. No announcement of the game's completion or end of support has been made. The developer's last substantive statement affirmed continuing improvement across all game modes, which remains the most recent Tier 1 signal on record.
Evidence
Version 2.0 launched as the biggest update in a long time, overhauling gameplay, cutscenes, level design, narration, and visuals. Developer explicitly stated: 'We are committed to continuously improving the game and adding new features across Story, Survival, and Multiplayer modes.'
