KunKunNight launched on November 3, 2023 as a self-contained first-person horror game with a fixed story, three endings, and a defined set of gameplay mechanics. In the two weeks following launch, the developer (EMSRoy) shipped a series of small patches addressing lighting, item placement, language support, hidden content, and gameplay tweaks — culminating in the completion of the Steam achievement system on November 17, 2023.
