Blood and Bacon

Blood and Bacon launched on February 1, 2016 and has received a sustained stream of major free content updates over its lifetime. The developer has shipped at least six major updates, including: a large "Travel to the Future" free DLC in July 2019 (new map, game mode, vehicles, mini-missions), a major underground tunnels expansion in October 2020, a big free update adding co-op tunnel exploration and new weapons in October 2021, and most recently a significant content drop on July 12, 2025 that added new tunnel textures, minimap improvements, improved enemy AI, new weapons, and a 1,000-copy giveaway to new players. The developer also nominated the game for Steam's "Labor of Love" award in November 2020, noting it had been continuously updated for almost five years at that point. The October 2021 update post stated an intent to add more tunnels, weapons, and enemies going forward. The July 12, 2025 update is the last recorded developer communication. As of today (October 8, 2026), that was approximately 15 months ago. The established cadence between major updates has ranged from roughly 12 to 24 months, so being 15 months past the last major update places us within that window. The developer has not announced that development is complete or that no further content is planned.
