局外人 L'Etranger launched on July 17, 2019 and has since reached a fully complete state. The developer shipped the Closing Chapter on October 1, 2020, explicitly describing it as "the complete version" with "the final instalment of L'Etranger story." This was followed by a December 2020 patch adding achievements and bug fixes. In February 2022, the studio released a Digital Art Booklet DLC (February 9) and an Original Soundtrack DLC (February 15), with the accompanying news post explicitly calling these "the final DLC of L'Etranger." All DLC listed on the store has been released, and no further content for the game has been announced. A developer post from May 3, 2024 confirms the studio has moved on, stating they are working on a brand new game and thanking players for their support — reinforcing that development on L'Etranger is concluded. The game is a complete, finished product.
