Lightyear Frontier remains in Early Access, with the 1.0 launch officially confirmed for November 4, 2026. The release date was announced at the Big Break Showcase on September 29, 2026, and the game is currently 33 days away from that milestone as of today (October 2, 2026). The game has had an active update history throughout Early Access: the Greater Cause update shipped September 29, 2025; the Country Roads update followed November 17, 2025; and the Automation Update launched March 5, 2026. A public 1.0 beta ran from September 1 through September 29, 2026, giving players early access to most incoming content — including two new biomes (Sandswept Highlands and Hollow Marsh, a 40% world size increase), major automation system overhauls, new transform modes such as the Skyblazer flight mode, the Seed Minigun, seamless day/night transitions, dynamic weather, and rebalanced progression.
