Long Knives

Long Knives launched as a free-to-play 1.0 release on December 31, 2025, but the developer announced at launch that the game would be split into two parts — the current release covers only the first half of the story. In a January 27, 2026 post, Jade Hex explicitly stated they were slowing down hotfix frequency to focus on "developing the latter half of the game," confirming that significant story content has not yet been released. The developer has remained consistently active since launch. A July 23, 2026 update added a new area (Yi Ling) to Chapter 2, demonstrating that content development is actively ongoing. Prior updates through April 2026 added quality-of-life features such as a Notes system, auto-play, and fast-forward, alongside steady bug fixes. The game is publicly available, free-to-play, and playable in its current state, but the developer has clearly communicated that the back half of the story is still being written and released in stages. The most recent developer communication was on July 23, 2026.
