Evaluation

Long Live the Queen launched on November 8, 2013 and received post-launch content updates, with the most significant being the 1.3 Plot Update on March 9, 2015, which added new story options, character portraits, marriages, and other content. A smaller feature patch followed in August 2015. These represent the game's substantive content additions after launch. On November 30, 2025, the developer posted an update announcing the release of the sequel game Galaxy Princess Zorana and commenting on the future of the LLTQ universe. In that post, the developer stated clearly: "Will there ever be a third game in this bundle? Might we someday return to Nova? It's not impossible... but nothing is planned right now!" This confirms that while a sequel exists, no further content is planned for Long Live the Queen itself. Since March 2015, updates to Long Live the Queen have been maintenance-focused — bug fixes, translation improvements, and a 2026 engine upgrade for modern compatibility. None of these represent new story or gameplay content. The developer continues to maintain the game in a technical sense (the most recent bug fix was March 22, 2026), but has explicitly communicated that no new content is planned for the game.
Evidence
Developer explicitly states 'nothing is planned' for further LLTQ content, and notes they need to take a break after finishing stretch goal work on the sequel game.

About this game

Rule the world or die trying!

Being a Princess is not an easy job. Being a Queen is even harder. Especially when you're only fourteen years old, and the reason you've inherited the throne is that your royal mother has just met an untimely end.

Now power is up for grabs. You may be the official heir, but much of the country's nobility would love to steal the throne for themselves. Aggressive neighbors will take advantage of any weakness to enlarge their borders at your expense. And that's not even mentioning the magical dangers which are lying in wait...

Can you survive long enough to reach your coronation?
