LOST EMBER

Lost Ember launched on November 22, 2019 as a complete narrative adventure. Mooneye Studios has continued to expand the game over the years: a free VR Edition launched on July 12, 2022, and on December 4, 2025 the studio simultaneously released the free Lost Ember: Rekindled Edition remaster (with HDR, 4K, and DLSS support) and a paid expansion called "Legendary Souls," which adds a new open map, multiple biomes, and new Soul Quest side missions. The November 10, 2025 announcement post introduced both the remaster and the Legendary Souls DLC, and the December 4, 2025 post confirmed both shipped as planned. No further content has been announced beyond what shipped on December 4, 2025. The only DLC listed on the base game's store page is the original soundtrack (released November 22, 2019), and there are no unreleased DLC entries visible. The Legendary Souls DLC is a separately sold product that has fully released. Looking at the major content history — the free VR Edition (July 2022) and the Rekindled/Legendary Souls release (December 2025) — there is no consistent recurring cadence that would suggest further releases are expected soon. The gap between major additions has been irregular and very long (over three years between the VR Edition and Rekindled). No roadmap, teaser, or statement from the developer points to anything additional in the pipeline. With no announced future content, no unreleased DLC, and no recent developer communication suggesting more is coming, the game's content appears complete as of December 4, 2025.
