Machick launched on March 22, 2024 and received a steady stream of patches in its first weeks, followed by a substantial content overhaul on April 15, 2024 that added new enemies, bosses, maps, and systems. A Christmas update on December 8, 2024 brought another new map along with balance and bug fixes.
On September 4, 2025, the developer announced the launch of a sequel (Machick 2) and simultaneously confirmed that Machick 1 would also receive a new content update — including a new map — arriving "this winter." No post after September 4, 2025 confirms whether that winter update was ever delivered, and today's date is June 15, 2026, meaning the promised winter window has long since passed with no public confirmation of delivery.
