Mafia: Definitive Edition

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a ground-up remake of the original 2002 Mafia game, released on September 24, 2020. It launched as a complete, self-contained narrative experience — a faithful reimagining of Tommy Angelo's story with an expanded storyline, gameplay, and an original orchestral score. Its only DLC is the official soundtrack, which was released on launch day alongside the game itself. No additional story or gameplay content was ever announced or delivered for this title after launch. The game has since been bundled into the Mafia: The Omertà Collection, announced on August 13, 2026, which packages Mafia: Definitive Edition together with Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Mafia III: Definitive Edition, and Mafia: The Old Country Definitive Edition. This collection bundles existing content — it does not add new content to Mafia: Definitive Edition itself. Hangar 13 went on to develop Mafia: The Old Country, a fully separate game set in 1900s Sicily with a new protagonist, which launched on August 7, 2025, and received its own Man of Honor expansion on August 14, 2026. These are independent products and not extensions of Mafia: Definitive Edition. The September 25, 2025 anniversary post celebrating five years of Mafia: Definitive Edition reflects fondly on the game's legacy but announces no new content for it. Mafia: Definitive Edition launched complete and has remained so.
