Evaluation
Magi Trials is a visual novel that released on November 17, 2016. All four DLC items (Soundtrack, Wallpapers, Avatars, and Dakimakuras) shipped by December 5, 2016, and none remain unreleased. The store description describes the game as a complete package with a defined feature set — eight alternate endings, a CG gallery of 100 images, and a Deluxe Edition bundling all available bonus content.
On March 29, 2018, Dharker Studios announced a sequel called Magi Wars, promising to continue the protagonist's story. However, no subsequent news posts reference Magi Wars, and the developer's communications since then have focused entirely on other unrelated titles (Roomie Romance, Witches Brew, Maid Cafe, Echo Tokyo: Reaper). More than eight years have passed since that announcement with no further updates on Magi Wars, and no content for the original Magi Trials has been announced or shipped since December 2016. The sequel announcement does not constitute a commitment to add content to this game, and there is no evidence the project ever progressed.
The developer has remained active as a studio through at least February 2024, but all post-2016 activity has been for entirely separate games. Magi Trials itself has received no updates, patches, or announcements since late 2016, consistent with a game that launched as a finished product and has since been complete.
