Magical Waifus Academy launched on February 11, 2021 and received two post-launch content updates: version 1.1 on July 30, 2021 (adding a new dialogue system, quality-of-life improvements, and new content) and version 1.2 on November 26, 2021 (adding controller support and translations into French, Portuguese, and Spanish). In that November 2021 post, the developer explicitly stated that version 1.2 is "the final big update for MWA," with only bug fixes to follow. A separate October 2021 developer post confirmed that the game is "a complete game in itself" and that a planned beach episode update would not be added to this game — instead serving as a foundation for a sequel. The developer has since moved on to other projects: an announcement in November 2023 for the sequel "Magical Monstergirls Academy," a bug fix patch in May 2024, a small feature patch in February 2024, and a November 2024 post announcing a different new game ("Draconic Date") as an interlude before their "next big game." All of this confirms that Magical Waifus Academy itself is a finished product with no further content planned.
