Mahluk: Dark Demon launched on July 19, 2016 as a self-contained retro hack-and-slash platformer with 16 levels, 3 bosses, and a defined set of weapons and enemies. Following launch, the developer made a handful of smaller updates: new shop items and a two-player mode in November 2016, a CRT visual effect in February 2018, a new weapon (Whip) in March 2019, updated weapon animations and enemy AI fixes in October 2019, and a bug fix for achievements on August 2, 2021. That achievement fix on August 2, 2021 is the last recorded communication from the developer. No updates of any kind have been posted since that date, which is now nearly five years ago. The game has no announced future content, no unreleased DLC, and the store description describes a fixed, complete package. The developer has never signaled plans for expansions or ongoing content. The game shipped as a finished product and the small post-launch patches have long since ceased.

A dark civilization that lived long before mankind, and a evil, devil king powerful enough to rule the civilization, mankind and the world: Kindar. He ruled his world with cruelty for 3000 years. He sent the ones who did not obey him to the underground kingdom filled with pain, torture and misery. No one could come back, but only a mysterious one managed to escape. Legends say, he was an assassin or an exiled king. He was overcoming every obstacle in his path and moving towards to Kindar’s castle with anger and vengeance that can be seen in his red eyes. Evil forces could no longer stop him.
