Malleus Cocconum: The Heiress

Malleus Cocconum: The Heiress entered Steam Early Access on January 15, 2025 and has been actively developed by solo developer Dan of Domus Aurea throughout the Early Access period. The first major narrative arc — the Antonio Route — was delivered in full by December 2025, with the Simplified Chinese version launching in September 2025 and the English and Traditional Chinese versions following on December 19, 2025. A November 2025 update also added four short side stories and quality-of-life improvements. On July 3, 2026 — just two days before today's assessment date — the developer posted a direct update confirming that the main story of The Heiress is now fully complete. This includes the Mika Route, whose completion was also announced on June 30, 2026. The June 8, 2026 update confirmed the Mika Route English content was actively in production at that point. The developer's June 30, 2026 announcement lays out a detailed plan for the remainder of the year before leaving Early Access: releasing and refining the English version (expected around December 2026), adding several side stories and epilogues, implementing a Scene Gallery, releasing an official Art & Lore Book and Original Soundtrack, enabling Steam Cloud support, adding Steam Community Items, and completing iOS certification. The July 3 post reaffirms that full proofreading and story refinements based on player feedback are still ongoing, with the English version expected around December. The developer has also stated that after the 1.0 release, the game will continue to receive content — including additional short stories, epilogues, potential DLC, and new language options — describing the game as a world that will keep growing. Throughout Early Access, the developer has maintained a consistent and transparent communication cadence even while navigating significant personal challenges, including operating as a solo developer since May 2025.
