Man I Just Wanna Go Home launched on July 12, 2024 as a complete, self-contained visual novel with 13 endings, a full narrative, and an original soundtrack. Post-launch activity has been limited to localization patches — Chinese language support shipped on November 5, 2024, and a Japanese translation followed on April 23, 2025. No new story content or gameplay expansions have been added or announced for the base game. The developer has been working on a sequel. A February 11, 2026 post introduced "Man I Just Wanna Get Out Of This Mess," and an August 4, 2026 post confirmed the sequel (now titled "Man I Just Wanna Live") is further along, with a completed 38,000-word script and a store page live, targeting a 2027 release. This is an entirely separate game — not an expansion or update to the original. The original game itself remains complete as shipped on launch day.
