MatchyGotchy is a free-to-play casual digital pet game that launched on January 31, 2018. After launch, the developer shipped several meaningful updates: leaderboard support in February 2018, a major content overhaul in September 2018 that added notifications, a Xanadu pool party end screen, and rebalanced progression, and a papercraft DLC pack (MatchyGotchy Pack) on September 17, 2018. A second DLC — the Fun Pack wallpaper pack — launched on February 26, 2019. That February 26, 2019 release marks the last content shipped for MatchyGotchy specifically.
From early 2019 onward, the developer's attention shifted to MatchyGotchy Z, a separate sequel game that launched on Steam Early Access on March 4, 2019. News posts after that point — the most recent being from June 25, 2019 — are focused exclusively on MatchyGotchy Z updates. There have been no developer communications about new content for MatchyGotchy since early 2019, and no unreleased DLC is listed on the store.
Both DLC items are released, no future content has been announced for MatchyGotchy, and the developer has moved on to building the sequel. The store description does note that the broader "Matchy Star" universe game is in development, but that refers to a separate title, not additional content for MatchyGotchy itself. The game launched as a complete, self-contained experience and received its final content additions in early 2019.

About this game
MatchyGotchy is a fun and casual game full of childlike wonder from the Matchy Star world. Stars need your love so they can build ships, reach Xanadu, and become the rocket surgeons they always wanted to be. Look after your stars' food, health, cleaning, games, and important selfie every other day. The better you take care of your stars, the more productive they are and the faster they level.
Stars have four different life stages: smol egg, tiny baby, awkward teen, and rocket surgeon adult. Your level of care will determine how quick or slow they get to grow up. Cycle through the activities to boost your stars' productivity. They need your guidance to grow and work so they can build ships and explore the galaxy. It's a digital pet key chain experience updated for your PC!
MatchyGotchy Parenting
All stars get two important meters: Happy and Hungry. Your stars' productivity is based on these meters and other care activities which deplete over time, meaning you have to look after them. If you do not replenish these, then your Star will become neglected affecting its health and the rate it builds ships.
You could be the proud parent of an All-Dimensional Master Shipwright, Dauntless Elegant Diplomat, Interstellar Shipment Manager, Space Physician MD, Mighty Booty Hunter, Quaint Alien Botanist, or Astrological Forecast Specialist.
