Evaluation
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1 launched on April 13, 2023 as a curated compilation of four classic games (Mega Man Battle Network 1, 2, 3 Blue, and 3 White), packaged with bonus features including an illustration gallery, music player, and online play. It was designed and sold as a finished product from day one.
After launch, Capcom released the Original Soundtrack DLC on April 19, 2023, and the Custom PET Pack Vol. 1 cosmetic DLC on June 27, 2023. A bug fix patch followed on July 4, 2023. Both DLC items are released and available, and there are no unreleased DLC entries remaining in the store listing.
Developer news posts since mid-2023 have focused on other Capcom titles — MEGA MAN X DiVE Offline and the newly announced Mega Man: Dual Override (a mainline Mega Man game targeting 2027) — with no mention of new content planned for this collection. The store description presents Vol. 1 as a defined, fixed set of four games with specific included features and no suggestion of future additions.
Capcom has made no roadmap, expansion announcement, or statement indicating any further content for Vol. 1. All released content has shipped, and the collection is complete.
