Megabyte Punch launched on October 15, 2013 and received a small Halloween content update on October 24, 2013. The most recent notable development activity was a Nintendo Switch port that released on May 8, 2020, which brought a handful of Switch-exclusive additions — two bonus stages, new music, new color capsules, and amiibo support. That Switch release represents the last known content addition to the game. There have been no developer communications since May 2020, no unreleased DLC listed on the store, no roadmap or announcements of future content, and the store description presents the game as a complete, self-contained package. The game was originally released in 2013 as a finished product, and the 2020 Switch port with its bonus content is the most recent content milestone. Team Reptile has since moved on to other projects (most notably Lethal League Blaze). This game is complete.

The game takes place in an computer world where you protect the Heartcore of your village against the likes of the Valk Empire and the dreaded Khoteps in 6 different levels with each 3 stages and a boss fight!
