Evaluation

Memoriapolis launched out of Early Access on April 30, 2025 with a fully reworked v1.0 release. Since then, 5PM Studio has maintained a steady stream of meaningful updates. The largest post-launch update — Banners & Wonders — shipped on April 28, 2026, fundamentally reworking factions, adding a dynasty goal system, introducing three endgame Industrial Revolution Wonders, Steam achievements, new maps, and overhauling several core systems. Just two months later, on June 25, 2026, Update 1.6.7 arrived with its own substantial additions: a Custom Mode for tailoring game settings, a new map, three additional Wonders (Crystal Palace, Saint Basil's Cathedral, and the Forbidden City), upgradeable Service Buildings, and rampart placement improvements. This content had been previewed in a June 11, 2026 announcement and foreshadowed by the May 29, 2026 price update post, which stated "the journey continues." On July 27, 2026, the team shipped Hotfix 1.6.10 fixing two player-reported progression issues — the most recent developer communication on record, just three weeks before today's assessment date of August 18, 2026. Notably, the content announced in the May 29 and June 11 posts (new Wonders, new map, Custom Mode) was fully delivered by Update 1.6.7 on June 25, 2026. There are no currently outstanding named commitments visible in the store or news posts. However, the developer's pattern — two major updates within the first 14 months of release, accompanied by regular feature patches and fixes, and a developer statement that "the journey continues" — reflects a team actively working on the game. At roughly two months since the last major update, it is well within the historical interval between major releases. No specific future content has been announced following Update 1.6.7, but given the active cadence and the developer's stated intent to keep developing the game, this is consistent with a team that is between announcements rather than winding down.

About this game

Memoriapolis is a historical city builder where your city grows across 5 ages from Antiquity to the Industrial Revolution.

Place the buildings. The city grows organically and districts expand. Manage resources, navigate faction demands, and guide your dynasty to its final goal : building one of three Industrial Revolution Wonders — the Eiffel Tower, Neuschwanstein Castle, or the Statue of Liberty.

Relaxed or challenging : difficulty settings adjust objectives, faction pressure, and resource balance to match how you want to play.

Banners & Wonders is the biggest update to Memoriapolis since launch.

Factions now have personalities: Altruist, Warrior, Expansionist, and more. They don't all want the same thing, and they won't all negotiate the same way.

Your dynasty's goal : reach the Industrial Revolution and build one of three final Wonders — the Eiffel Tower, Neuschwanstein Castle, or the Statue of Liberty.

The city is more open than before. No more cycle limits. No more closed districts. New maps, Steam achievements, difficulty levels have also been added and more!

At the heart of it all : the Dynastic House that grows with your city across every age.

Build your city across 5 ages

Memoriapolis spans five historical eras : Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Age of Enlightenment, and the Industrial Revolution. Each age transforms your city with new architecture, new challenges, new Monuments to unlock.

Watch your city grow organically

No rigid grid. Your city develops naturally, expanding through districts shaped by your choices and your citizens.  No two playthroughs look the same.

Build monuments from history

Construct iconic landmarks like the Library of Alexandria, Windsor Castle, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Palace of Versailles and more to give your city a unique identity through time.

Interact with factions

Factions have personalities — Altruist, Warrior, Expansionist, and more — and they have demands. You can accept proposals directly, negotiate terms, or choose to favor one faction over another. Engage as much or as little as the game calls for.

How is Memoriapolis different from other city builders?

Your city grows organically and you guide your dynasty across the ages. Factions add depth but you are free to engage with these systems at your own pace.

I played Memoriapolis before, what has changed?

Banners & Wonders is the biggest update since launch. Factions now have personalities, construction is more open, new maps have been added, and your dynasty now has a final goal : build one of three Industrial Era Wonders.

Is Memoriapolis easy?

Yes and no! Select your difficulty at the start of a run: resources, faction pressure, objectives and more… all vary depending on the level you choose.

Is Memoriapolis replayable?

Each playthrough is different thanks to different maps, different factions, different Wonder to build at the end. The organic growth of your city means no two runs look the same.
