MergeCrafter launched on August 23, 2022 as a free-to-play merge puzzle RPG. In its first year, the developer shipped two major content updates: a significant feature patch in April 2023 (Recruiter System), followed by the Age of Invention update on June 22, 2023, which added a new dungeon, craftable inventions, 15 quests, 34 achievements, and expanded the game's biome and tool systems. After that update, major content releases stopped entirely. The most recent posts — on July 24, 2025 and October 8, 2025 — were limited to Unity Engine upgrades and an achievement bug fix, with no new gameplay content. The developer has not communicated anything since October 8, 2025, and has not announced whether further content is planned or whether development has concluded. Given the absence of new content for over two years and the lack of any developer statement about the game's future direction, it is unclear whether meaningful updates are still in progress.
