About this game
Descend into Kur. There is no way out, only deeper.
Beneath Uruk lies Kur, the underworld of ancient Mesopotamia. You are an Ember-bearer: you carry a lamp that holds the dark back, and you walk down Gate by Gate through reed marshes, burning oil fields, royal tombs, drowned rivers and a library that remembers too much. Every descent ends. The next one starts a little stronger.

Your weapons fire on their own. Your skill is everything else.
Move, dash and time your parry. A well-timed parry counters the attack and can stagger a boss, and a staggered boss takes far more damage. Every bearer has a personal ultimate and an exclusive signature weapon with its own Fury strikes, so each one plays differently. Every Gate you clear is graded from S to D.

Build, fuse, unlock
Pick from more than fifty weapons, many of which fuse into stronger forms, and from more than a hundred items and tablets that change how a build plays. Between descents you spend shekels at the Bazaar of Ur, open new realms and bearers by playing, and fill the Museum of Ur with the finds you bring back. Optional cosmetic looks are sold for real money, and nothing you can buy makes you stronger.

The Gatekeeper's toll
After every guardian falls, the Gatekeeper takes his toll. The wheel hands you a weapon you did not choose, then you pick a reward. No build runs away with the game, so each Gate is a decision about what you can live without.
Utukku, scorpions, demons and dozens of guardians
More than fifty kinds of enemies, each with its own behaviour, swarm you in huge numbers, and the realms fight back with sandstorms, rising dust, cave-ins, stampedes and flooding. Every guardian has signature attacks, and every one ends in a finishing blow from your bearer.

Play together
Play solo, share one screen with up to four players, or go online through Steam: invite friends from your friends list or share a room code. Each player picks their own upgrades, fallen friends can be revived, and a co-op session can be saved and resumed when the same players return.
Pixel art and chiptune
Pixel art and a chiptune soundtrack with its own track for every realm and boss.
