Evaluation

METALLIC CHILD launched on September 15, 2021 and received a series of post-launch updates through early 2022. The developer maintained a consistent stream of "Developmental Status" blog posts and patches in the months following launch, adding seasonal cosmetics, balance adjustments, and new gameplay content. The most significant post-launch content arrived on March 30, 2022 with patch v.1.3.0.10, which shipped the Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin crossover DLC alongside new customs, new weapons, a new combat difficulty setting ("Advanced"), and a new endless mode ("Bottomless Labs"). This was the culmination of a content roadmap the developer had been previewing since at least February 2022. All nine DLC items listed on the store — including the two crossover packs, five chip packs, a digital artbook, and the original soundtrack — are released with no unreleased items remaining. After the March 30, 2022 update, developer communications went silent. The last official post of any kind is dated March 30, 2022, over four years before today (June 23, 2026). No roadmap, future content announcement, or developer statement indicating ongoing work has been made since that date. The November 2021 post (NEWS-5) stated "We will continue to add contents and updates" and referenced a then-upcoming crossover — that crossover shipped with the March 2022 update, which plausibly fulfilled that commitment. No new commitments were made after that point. With all announced content delivered, all DLC released, and no developer communication since March 30, 2022, the game appears to have concluded its post-launch content cycle with that final major update.
Evidence
Patch v.1.3.0.10 shipped the Sakuna crossover content alongside new weapons, new customs, a new combat difficulty setting, and a new endless mode — the final major content update. This is the last official developer communication of any kind.
