Evaluation

Oblivion Override launched into Early Access and graduated to its full 1.0 release on January 24–25, 2024. At that time, the developer (Humble Mill) explicitly stated that more content was coming — specifically, enhanced Stage 4 enemies and a hidden boss fight that were held back from 1.0 for further development. Both of those commitments were delivered: the V1.1.0 update on April 18, 2024 shipped the enhanced Chapter Four enemies, the evolved final boss under high alert levels, and the hidden Clinic Sisters boss battle. A further update (V1.1.1) on July 25, 2024 added a brand new playable mecha character named Pyr along with related storylines. These three post-launch major content releases fulfilled all publicly stated commitments from the 1.0 roadmap. Since July 25, 2024, the developer has only posted a sale announcement (November 20, 2024) with no new content previews, roadmap commitments, or announcements of additional mechas, stages, or expansions. The update history shows a pattern of roughly one major content drop every 3–5 months during the active post-launch period, but the last such release was July 25, 2024 — nearly 11 months before today's date of June 22, 2026. That exceeds the established cadence window by a wide margin, and no new content has been announced. With all known commitments fulfilled and developer communication having quieted to sale-only posts, the game appears to have concluded its post-launch content additions as of July 25, 2024.
Evidence
V1.1.1 launches new playable mecha Pyr with related storylines and bug fixes. This is the last major content release on record.
