Methods: The Canada Files

Methods: The Canada Files launched its 1.0 release on March 5, 2026, delivering File 06 — the sixth and final case in the story — along with Vignettes, a full Sprite and Backgrounds Gallery, behind-the-scenes articles, and all remaining extra content. The developer explicitly described this as the conclusion of the game's development journey, stating "Thanks for sticking with the game throughout its development journey" and confirming that all extra content had been added. The 1.0 launch post was titled "The Canada Files Is Complete!" leaving no ambiguity about the game's finished status. The game was developed episodically through Steam Early Access, with major story files releasing roughly every 3–6 months (File 04 in March 2025, File 05 in May 2025, Hangouts Four & Five in August 2025, File 06 in March 2026). All of those milestones have now been delivered. Following the 1.0 launch, the developer's only post was a minor bug fix on April 13, 2026. The developer has also announced a new, separate game — *Motives: The Ultimate Problem* — as their next project, further confirming that development on The Canada Files is concluded. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which has been available since March 2023. There is no unshipped content of any kind.
