Microcosmum: survival of cells

Microcosmum: survival of cells launched on July 24, 2015 and has received a substantial body of post-launch content over the years. Five paid campaign DLC packs were released between April 2016 and October 2021: "New Life" (April 15, 2016), "Mutations" (March 13, 2017), "Aliens" (November 8, 2017), "Hot and Cold" (March 29, 2019), and "Static" (October 2, 2021). All eight DLC items listed on the store are marked as released — none are pending. The campaign DLC releases establish a rough pattern of one major campaign every 1–2 years, but that pattern ended with "Static" in October 2021. The "Static" DLC was reworked in December 2022 (replacing its skill system), but this was a revision to existing content rather than new content. The most recent developer communication was an October 18, 2025 update (version 4.2) adding gamepad support, improved interface, and performance improvements — a maintenance-focused patch with no mention of new content or future campaigns. Notably, a September 2021 announcement for the "Static" DLC mentioned that it was made "while we are expecting the launch of Microcosmum 2," framing it as supplemental content during the wait for a sequel. No further campaign DLC has been announced or released since October 2021, and the developer has not communicated any plans for additional content for this game. The last major content release was "Static" on October 2, 2021, and the developer's subsequent communications have been limited to engine and interface maintenance. The game appears to have concluded its content lifecycle with that final campaign DLC.
