Milord

Milord is a solo-developed Kingdom Management RPG that entered Early Access on April 14, 2025. The sole developer shipped a major update (version 0.30) on December 6, 2025, which rebuilt the entire story system, added 27 new polished stories with over 7,000 words of narrative, new music, a new character generator, and significant gameplay changes. In the announcement accompanying that update, the developer explicitly stated that "more than 600 new stories, faction quests, new character packs and visual updates are waiting behind the scenes" and will be added gradually. A November 30, 2025 FAQ post confirmed a planned 1.0 release with "hours and hours of content." The last developer communication was on January 7, 2026, which addressed the temporary loss of localization support and confirmed it would be restored. Since then — through October 1, 2026 — there have been no posts, patches, or announcements of any kind. This silence spans nearly 9 months, which is a sharp contrast to the developer's own pledge in November 2025 that "the era of silence is officially over" and that updates would come "one after another." This is a one-person development effort, and extended gaps have occurred before (the developer went quiet for several months in mid-2025 before the burst of activity leading to the 0.30 update). However, a large volume of explicitly promised content — hundreds of stories, faction systems, a day-night cycle, visual upgrades, and the 1.0 release — remains undelivered, and there is currently no communication confirming development is still progressing. Until the developer posts again, the status of that promised content cannot be confirmed.
